A beautiful place ...

It has been more than a year since my last blog, after my recent visit to Cambodia, I felt the strong urge to share about this beautiful and yet very sad country ... the stark contrast from its glorious past and now the poorest country in Southeast Asia makes one feel a strong sense of regret and lost for the country.

Who can visit Cambodia and not go Siem Reap?? It is truly a lovely place, rich in history and culture. Angkor Wat (goes without saying), Beng Meale, Kor Ker, Kulen Mountain are all the places that are worth a visit. We definitely recommend engaging a licensed guide for the tours, the guide's commentary give us a better appreciation and understanding of the places we visited. We booked our tours through Angkor Wat Services-Private Day Tours (www.angkorwatservices.com) and our tour guide Mr Chet is the best, his enthusiasm and knowledge to share Cambodia's history and culture made our tours super interesting.

Sunrise @ Angkor Wat

We woke up early hoping to catch the sunrise at Angkor Wat, unfortunately the sky was overcast so we did get to admire the true beauty of a sunrise at Angkor Wat.
